The concept for this rustic style color board began with the "Country Dream" canvas. The imagery is so peaceful, quiet, and calm - that is what we wanted to evoke in the color scheme. Sage, steel gray, and beige lay the foundation for the space, being the quieter colors, and to add contrasting elements, we suggest bold black and burnt orange. Situated on the edge of an island, the cottage has wrap-around windows so you can enjoy the breathtaking view from any angle. Both driftwood and white washed furniture finishes are gaining popularity and demand in today's decorating trends. The "washed" look is made by using a watered down and thinned paint, so that when it is applied, the natural wood grain will show through. What a stunning and luxurious coastal style bedroom that instantly makes you want to unwind! This California cottage was completely renovated from a chaotic maze of hallways and doors to this open concept home flooded with sunlight. The color palette seen throughout the home was chosen to make each room feel light and airy in an effort to abolish the previously stuffy feeling.
In the master bedroom, they strategically painted the wide board ceiling panels and exposed beams white to add light and loft to the space. The collection of white, chrome, gold, and coral decorative accents gives the room an elegant and sophisticated flair, while the mint wall color is whimsical and playful. The upholstered headboard, overstuffed throw pillows, and adorable pleated skirt also contribute to the boutique ambiance.
